Be Like Water.

"
As an atheist, I see nothing “wrong” in believing in a God. I don’t think there is a God, but belief in him does no harm. If it helps you in any way, then that’s fine with me. It’s when belief starts infringing on other people’s rights when it worries me. I would never deny your right to believe in a God. I would just rather you didn’t kill people who believe in a different God, say. Or stone someone to death because your rulebook says their sexuality is immoral. It’s strange that anyone who believes that an all-powerful all-knowing, omniscient power responsible for everything that happens, would also want to judge and punish people for what they are.

Ricky Gervais: “Why I’m an Atheist” (via stenmeister)

(Source: zero-aperture)

I woke from the dream in a cold, cold sweat
I was full of doubt and deep regret,
Suddenly it was so clear to me;
There was nothing left in which to believe

And everything I loved and feared had all at once disappeared
Oh everything I loved and feared had all at once disappeared

Make It Stop

“Make it stop,
Let this end.
This life chose me, I’m not lost in sin.
But proud I stand of who I am,
I plan to go on living.” -Rise Against, “Make it Stop”

As long as there are humans, there will be war.

“Do you believe you’re missin’ out?

That everything good is happenin’ somewhere else?
But with nobody in your bed
The night’s hard to get through

And I will die all alone
And when I arrive, I won’t know anyone

Well, Jesus Christ, I’m alone again
So what did you do those
Three days you were dead?
‘Cause this problem’s gonna
Last more than the weekend

Well, Jesus Christ, I’m not scared of dyin’
I’m a little bit scared of what comes after
Do I get the gold chariot?
Do I float through the ceilin’?”

What I tell people when they ask “what’s wrong?” They think I mean sleepy. It’s easier that way.
